I've painted another dog sculpture to be auctioned off for the art of dog event. The sculptures were painted by local artists and are on display at the Mall of America's Nordstrom Court on the lower level. All works are for sale and all the proceeds go to the Art of the Dog. It's a great cause and I'm very proud to participate in this event! So check it out!!!
This past year I was very fortunate, displaying work at Altered Esthetics, The Grainbelt Bottling House, both Moxie salons, Galactic Pizza, and the Mall of America. Not to mention getting married, buying a house, and quitting my job! Here's to a new year! I'm looking forward to new opportunities, more time to paint, and getting done lots of work on the house we just bought! Thanks to everyone who shows support! I hope that this year brings awesomeness to you all!
Just had the opening night for the Travel Stories show at AE, and had to move all the paintings that were on display at Moxie Uptown to Galactic Pizza, the opening night will be on Oct 17th! Also I am awaiting the statue from Home For Life to paint - which will go on display at the Mall of America sometime in mid November. I wish every month could be this much fun!
Last night was The Art of Performance show at Altered Esthetics. It was a pretty good turn out, despite the smaller number of artists in the show. Thanks to everyone who came and showed some love! For those who couldn't make it, I had one piece in the show. "The Sickness" which is a pastel drawing that I did in 2005. It shows light reflections off a drum set. I did the drawing while having drinks at a bar out in the sticks...and for the life of me I cannot remember the name of the bar!
I think it ended up being a favorite at the show! There was allot of positive feedback! Thanks again!
And thanks to AE for hosting yet another awesome show!
